The Good and Bad of Dick Grayson's Post-Forever Evil Fate

The fate of Dick Grayson in the post-Forever Evil DC Universe has been a much debated topic. A popular fan theory has been Dick Grayson dying at the end of Forever Evil. Now DC Comics, in a USA Today article, revealed that the character, will in fact, not die.  Instead, Dick Grayson will headline a brand new ongoing series simply titled ‘Grayson.’ Given our first look at the cover, announced creative team and series overview there is a lot of good and bad takeaways from what we know. Beefcake/Cheesecake of the Week of March 26, 2014

Once again, we will be touring the latest comics from Marvel, DC and a few of the indie presses for fine servings of Beefcake and Cheesecake. The lack of quantity of beefcake and cheesecake this week is more than made up for it by the quality of this week's serving.  There were certainly some prime choice selections out there.  Warning: Do not go any further if you are sexually repressed, puritanical or believe in censoring what other people view and read. For all the rest of you deviants, go on and check out what we have for this wee...

Beefcake/Cheesecake of the Week of March 19, 2014

Yes, I know, it has been a long time since The Revolution rolled out one of our patented Beefcake/Cheesecake of the Week columns.  Honestly, I had stopped doing them because, despite what a certain comic book rumormonger with Victorian Era sensablities from a certain Bleeding comic website thinks, the fact is that Cheesecake is pretty much a dying art.  You really just do not see that much of it in mainstream comic books anymore.  Beefcake?  Well, despite what the other wesbite iwth CBR as its intials thinks with their male ...

Nightwing #30 Spoiler Review

Once the dust was settled Forever Evil left an impact on a number of characters. Arguably the character that was impacted the most was Dick Grayson. His entire life was taken from him as the Crime Syndicate forced Dick Grayson to reveal his identity as Nightwing to the world and was declared dead shortly thereafter. With his life in ruins it is time for Dick Grayson to enter a new phase in his life. What will this new phase be? Hopefully Nightwing #30, the final issue of this series, will give us some insight into this before the launch of Gray...

All-New X-Men #27 Spoiler Review

After a disappointing anniversary issue in All-New X-Men #25 Brian Bendis was able quickly return the series to its quality with issue #26. A big factor in the quick turn-around for the series is that Bendis brought the future Brotherhood last seen in Battle of the Atom back into the fold. The return of this group is sure to shake things up even further for the original X-Men. The fact that they are now missing their leader with past Cyclops having space adventures with his dad should make things interesting. Let’s find out if that’s the case w...

Amazing Spider-Man #1 Spoiler Review

The last time I read Spider-Man book from the main Marvel Universe was Superior Spider-Man #1. As much as I enjoyed Dan Slott’s Amazing Spider-Man his work on Superior Spider-Man never grabbed my attention. I was just never interested in seeing Otto Octavius running around as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and voted with my wallet by not buying the series. But now after being around for over a year Superior Spider-Man and Otto-Peter the one and only Peter Parker is back. With the return of the character I’ve decided to give Amazing Spider-Man #1 a sho...

Batman: Eternal #2 Review

Batman: Eternal #1 did a fine job kicking off the latest series starring the Dark Knight and Gotham City’s cast of colorful characters. Scott Snyder and James Tynion, with help from Ray Fawkes, John Layman and Tim Seeley as consulting writers, established a Batman story that we can be quickly invested in. Not only that but they also established a reason for the Batman Family to be part of this story with the actions committed by Commissioner Jim Gordon. Now see if Batman: Eternal #2 can continue the momentum the first issue created.
